We recommend using a Google Share Drive for storing documents to be shared via the website. If you ever need to move website content with links to PDFs that reside on Google Share Drive, they will not need to be updated because the links to the files are not moving, just the page content itself.
To share a PDF, or other file:
- Upload the file to a Google Shared Drive
- Right-click on the file
Choose "Get Shareable Link"
- Make sure the settings are set to "Anyone with the link"
- Click "Copy link" to copy the link to the file
Use the copied link as the URL for the link on the site
