Top BannerRow BannerBanner Examples
Top Banner
A Top Banner spans the width of the site below the top menu, but above the page title.
To add a Top Banner:
- Edit any basic page and in the Top Banner section, click Add Top Banner.
- Select an image by clicking Add Media.
- Aspect ratio: 30:11
- Recommended size: 3000px x 1100px
- Use the Name field to find an image onsite. Or, if your image is not uploaded, click Select File, to find your banner image. See more on adding images
- Once you have uploaded or chosen your image, click Insert selected or Save & insert.
- At this time, we are not adding Headline, URL/links, or banner captions.
- At the top of the screen, click the Behavior tab.
- Text Overlay Position - Choices are left or center. These don't apply since we're not adding text at this time.
- Banner Height - Choices are Default, Modest & Minimal. Depending on your banner image, some of these may not be ideal. You may need to test them with your image.
- Banner Style - Since we do not have any text or links on banners, choose 'No Headline'. This will remove the tint from the banner. Tint is only added when there is text or a link.
- Banner Headline Alignment - Choices Default (left) or Center. These don't apply since we're not adding text at this time.
- Add other components of the page or save at the bottom.
Row Banner
A Banner can also be added to a row in a basic page. This banner spans the width of the page below the Title. When adding a Banner to a row, it must be on a row by itself without any other paragraphs.
- Once you edit the page, hover over the paragraph section where you want the banner and click Add Section. Select 1 column and Save.
- Hover over the section you just added and click the + sign.
- Choose Banner.
- Click Add media. Select a new image file with Select File, or scroll through the images on site. Click Insert Selected.
- Ignore Superhead (this hasn't been formatted yet).
- Add a Headline, body, URL & Link Text as needed.
- At the bottom, click Styles/Behaviors, if you want to position your banner text.
- Click Save.
- Add other paragraph types as needed or save at the bottom.
