8. Alumnus

Alumnus (sing.) refers to a man who has attended a school; plural alumni.

Alumna (sing.) refers to a woman who has attended a school; plural alumnae.

Use alumni when referring to a group of men and women.

In direct quotation or to be more inclusive: alum (sing.), alums (pl.).
