Finding content
Main content start
Finding content via the top administration menu.
All Content
The easiest way to find content is from the All Content menu.
After you login, click on All Content (top left).
You can search for content by entering keywords in the Title field.
- Entering keyword terms in this field will search the actual title field of each page on the site.
- If you want to narrow down your search, you can choose a Content type from the drop down.
- You can also narrow down your search by selecting a Published status.
- Then click Filter.
- In the results list you can scroll to find the content you're looking for & edit it (right side under Operations).
- Or, you can click on the Title, then edit the page from there (blue edit button top of page).
Tips:
- You can sort the results on the column titles at the top of the search page (Title, Content type, Author, Status, Updated).
- Updated date is always the most recent changes or additions at the top that you can sort if needed.
All Media
The Media Library is the collection of all of the images, documents/files, Google Forms, embeddable, and videos you have on your site.
- Hover over the All Content menu, then click on All Media.
- Use the Media name field (see below) to enter keywords to find any word in the Title of a media item (i.e. part of the name of the image file).
- Use the Type dropdown to filter specific content (i.e. just images).
- Ignore the Category dropdown.
- Click Filter.
If the keywords you entered are part of the Title field for an item, the results will display below these filters.
Tips:
- You can sort on the titles of the fields/columns in the results (Media name, Type, Author, Status, Updated).
- To edit an item either click Edit under the Operations column, or click on the Title.
- If an item is used in more than once on the site, you will see this display:
- This means that whatever you change on that item, will change for every occurrence on the site. So for example, if you change the focal point of an image, it will change the focal point everywhere that photo it is used. If you're not sure you want to do that, upload a new photo and update the focal point of the new image to avoid changing the current image.
